SAP extends mainstream maintenance for Business Suite 7 to end of 2027
SAP extended mainstream maintenance for core Business Suite 7 applications to the end of 2027, with optional extended maintenance from 2028 through 2030.
In its announcement of 5 February 2020, SAP extended mainstream maintenance for the core SAP Business Suite 7 applications to the end of 2027. The scope covers SAP ERP 6.0, SAP CRM 7.0, SAP SCM 7.0, SAP SRM 7.0 and SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA.
Optional extended maintenance is offered from the start of 2028 through the end of 2030, at two percentage points above the existing maintenance basis. No contract changes or additional fees apply during the last two years of mainstream maintenance. Customers that do not opt in to extended maintenance by the end of 2027 but keep running Business Suite 7 move automatically to the customer-specific maintenance model, which provides known-issue problem solving at unchanged fees.
For companies running ECC/ERP 6.0, these dates frame the S/4HANA migration timeline; foreign trade and e-invoice integrations should be planned together with it.
